Picturenaut HDR

Here is my first attempt at using Picturenaut, a free application that creates High Dynamic Range (HDR) images.

A common issue when taking pictures is that an exposure may bring out the sky but make the foreground really dark (first pic), or do the opposite with a clear foreground but burnt out skies (second pic). The idea behind HDR is that you take a bracketed exposure (two or three pics at different exposures) and blend them together to make a much clearer image (third pic).
